At Patchworkpost, we help you turn photos into postcard puzzles that are mailed piece by piece. Before using our services, please review the following Terms of Service. By continuing to browse our website or place an order, you agree to these terms.

Introduction

Patchworkpost ("we", "us", "our") offers a service that allows users to upload a photo, divide it into a grid of postcard-sized pieces, and mail each piece to a recipient on a weekly schedule. The recipient assembles the pieces to reveal the full image.

By using our website or services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service, as well as our Privacy Policy. These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Patchworkpost.

Customer Responsibilities

Our service does not require you to create an account. We collect only the necessary information for processing orders, including your email address, the recipient's mailing information, and the image you upload.

You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You are prohibited from using our services to:

• Upload or transmit any unlawful, harmful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content.
• Upload images that you do not have the right to use, including copyrighted material belonging to others.
• Upload images that violate our content moderation policies, including explicit, violent, or hateful content.
• Engage in spamming, phishing, or any form of unsolicited communication.
• Hack, interfere with, or disrupt the integrity or performance of our website or services.

Uploaded images are automatically screened by Google Cloud Vision for content moderation. We reserve the right to reject any image that violates our content policies.

Image Upload & Content

By uploading an image to Patchworkpost, you represent and warrant that you have the right to use that image and that the image does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights. You retain ownership of your uploaded images. However, by uploading an image, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, crop, and print that image solely for the purpose of fulfilling your postcard order.

Uploaded images are stored in Cloudflare R2 and are retained only as long as necessary to fulfill your order. After fulfillment, images and associated cropped pieces are deleted.

Service Use

We grant you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use our website and services for personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms.

You are prohibited from engaging in any of the following activities:

• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of our website or services.
• Sharing, selling, or redistributing any part of our website or services for commercial purposes without our express written consent.
• Uploading or distributing viruses, malware, or any other harmful software.
• Using automated systems (such as bots) to excessively access or load our website.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to suspend or terminate your access to our services at any time if we believe that you have violated these Terms.

Payments & Refunds

All prices for our services are clearly stated on our website. Postcards are priced per card: $2.00 for 4×6 postcards and $3.00 for 6×9 postcards. Prices are subject to change, but we will honor the price agreed upon at the time of purchase.

Payments are processed through Stripe. By placing an order, you agree to provide valid and current payment information. You are responsible for any charges incurred under your order, including any applicable taxes.

Due to the personalized nature of our services, refunds are typically not available once an order has been processed and postcards have been created. If there is an issue with your order, please contact us at support@patchworkpost.com, and we will review your request on a case-by-case basis. Orders may be cancelled before postcards are printed — see our cancellation policy for details.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Our website and services are provided "as is" and "as available," without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that our services will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your expectations.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Patchworkpost and its employees, officers, directors, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our services. In no event will our total liability exceed the amount you paid for your order.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Patchworkpost, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of our services or your violation of these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and will be interpreted according to the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. By using our services, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Richmond, Virginia.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
